5 tips for mindfulness

1) Start with your breath: Find a quiet space and simply observe your breath. Notice the sensation of the air entering and leaving your body. Don't try to change it, just observe. Even a few minutes can make a difference.

2) Engage your senses: Pick an everyday activity, like eating a meal or drinking a cup of tea. Pay full attention to the sights, smells, tastes, and textures. Slow down and savor each moment.

3) Body Scan: Lie down or sit comfortably. Bring your awareness to different parts of your body, starting from your toes and moving up to your head. Notice any sensations without judgment – warmth, coolness, tension, or relaxation.

4) Mindful Walking: As you walk, pay attention to the sensation of your feet on the ground, the movement of your legs, and the feeling of the air on your skin. Notice your surroundings without getting lost in thought.

5) Observe your thoughts: Sit quietly and notice the thoughts that arise in your mind. See them as clouds passing by in the sky – acknowledge them, but don't get caught up in them. Let them come and go without judgment.
